We
are looking for contributors to our Winter Revue which will be a
collection of small pieces and performances and is the perfect
opportunity to perform something you've been working on, or you've
always wanted to try.
Some of the things we're looking for include:
Small one act plays (15-30 minutes) Monologues or Duologues (5 minutes) Small extracts from full length shows (5-10 minutes) Performed poetry, short stories or songs
But we're open to suggestions!
The
performances could either be staged fully, or could be in the style of
radio plays or rehearsed readings, but there are some things to
consider:
We won't have a technical rehearsal
so the performance should require minimal technical effects, set and
costumes They should be entertaining to the general public (this doesn't mean they have to be comedic!) You should ideally have a cast in mind, or shouldn't require too many people!
If you're interested please send an email to
answering the following questions:
Name: Email: Type of Performance: (One act play/monologue/extract/poem/etc) Length of performance: (approx) Cast required: (If relevant how many male/female characters) Do you already have a cast, if so who are they? Do you need anything else? (e.g director, props, specific effects etc)
Please also include a copy of the text you'd like to perform. We will be accepting suggestions until 12th September
after which we will review and get in touch with people. We probably
won't be able to stage everything this time but will be looking to put
together an interesting and varied show.
We
will then run an information evening later in September, where we will
ask for people to come along if they'd like to be involved - this is
when we will get our casts together if you need them.
We
have rehearsal space available which we can discuss at the information
evening. If you have any questions that aren't answered here please get
in touch!
